Boundaries Sculpture I
Boundaries is a whimsical sculpture. It draws on the viewer’s imagination and is perhaps an allegory for our times.
Adam Aaronson created the “Boundaries” series of sculptures with a higgledy, piggledy fence in mind.
A fence can keep people out, or alternatively it can keep them in.
As with most things in life there are always two sides to a question, and of course there is a third option – sitting on the fence!
In “Boundaries” there are gaps between the fence posts and these represent opportunities to step through and see life from a different perspective.
Is the grass greener on the other side of the fence?
Adam Aaronson has made several sculptures over the years that return to this theme of walls and fences.
The work comprises multiple elements. The glass elements are blown separately and then we attach them to a stainless steel core and assembled on site.
It is possible to commission similar site specific works with fewer elements or more elements.
